Arvedui is Araphant’s Heir Apparent, in addition to being a captain of war. More and more, as he ages, he is being expected to take part in the affairs of state, and prepare for the day when he will succeed his father. Just under four years ago, he took Firiel, Princess of Gondor and daughter of King Ondoher, as his wife. They have, to date, one son, Aranarth
Arvedui is also the leader of the group of rangers, the Wardens of the Emyn Waerin, that patrols the Weather Hills on the eastern bordermarch with Rhudaur. At the start of the campaign, the Player Characters were members of this Company, and dealt with the Prince often. As their fortunes have risen, Arvedui has remained one of their staunchest supporters within the Court. He considers Liathan, Turin, Llewellyn, and Rusceryn to be among the most dedicated servants that Arnor has, and believes that the Realm is indeed lucky to have their assistance, and that of the elven lore-mistress Sairin.
Fair, smart, but a bit headstrong, Arvedui is not above asking for the opinions and insights of those around him, but once his decision is made, changing his mind often proves exceedingly difficult.
